Welcome to 1865 Wine Cellar. The name 1865 pays tribute to the year Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa was founded. It all began one rainy night in 1865 when farmers, William and Mary Jane Dodge, hosted a group of weary travelers at their humble family farm. Due to the spectacular mountain views, the Dodges soon welcomed more guests to stay with them, and the resort was born. Today, we are proud to carry on the legacy of the Dodge Family. Nearly all of the ingredients used in the restaurant are sourced locally, which is reflected in our fine dining menu. Once an entrée has been designed and crafted, a suggested wine offering is carefully selected from our immense collection to highlight the uniqueness of the dish. As the name suggests, the restaurant itself is located in the resort's romantic, slate lined wine cellar where diners are surrounded by over over 6,000 bottles.Proper dress required (Shorts are not permitted, collared shorts preferred).
