Member Tableside Tasting
We love talking to members. We love sharing our newest releases with you and explaining the impact our farming and winery practices have on our finished products. Talking with you in a lot of ways is why we love doing what we do.The tasting room team has been looking for ways to provide members with more personal, one on one attention - we want to make sure you feel like a member at your club house. Although we love the bustling atmosphere of member tastings at the bar we wanted to give you another more immersive tasting option from the comfort of a table.Like our traditional bar tastings, the table-side tasting is free to members and their guests. Seated and guided by a wine educator, you will taste through the featured member tasting (a long with anything else we may have up our sleeves). The tasting will take around 10 to 15 minutes, and is offered by reservation only so we can have your table set and ready before you and your guests arrive. After your tasting is complete the table is yours for the rest of the day.

Debunking Chardonnay
Debunking ChardonnaySunday, September 22nd | 2pm$100 per person | $90 for members*Tax and gratuity not included*Blank slate or chameleon. Either way you look at it, Chardonnay is mind-boggling in its flexibility. The dry wines produced from Chardonnay are more responsive to wine making - how they are pressed, how the juice is fermented, and the wine matured - than any other white grape. In the vineyard, Chardonnay can dance to almost any beat. In general, there are grape varietals that prefer relatively warm temperature and others, cool ones. Chardonnay is as happy in the warm regions of Australia as it is in nippy Chablis, France. It can produce good, and stylistically different wine in either climate.Join us for an exploration of Chardonnay where we will be showcasing different styles and regions in addition to the range of Chardonnays we make here at Black Ankle. This seminar will encourage discussions surrounding common perceptions, misconceptions, and bringing to light some of the lesser-known aspects of this classic varietal.Light food accompaniments will be provided.**While purchasing your seat, club members must log into their Tock profile using the email address associated with their wine club account to receive the discount. If you need guidance, email emma@blackankle.com and we will be happy to help.
