Bistro 4•Wilrijk
European•€€
In October 2012 Erik Willekens and his wife Ann Nuyts took over the renowned Gasthof. This business was known as one of the oldest in Wilrijk, an established name on the outskirts of town. After a thorough refreshment Bistro 4 was baptized. The establishment exudes the coziness of an old Grand Café that would not be out of place in the Parisian Latin Quarter. The classic style elements of yesteryear were retained, but were given a contemporary touch. The cozy courtyard was also given a facelift, making it, under a bright sunshine, lovely to linger on the terrace. This feeling can also be found in the menu, where evergreens are presented in a very contemporary, sometimes stubborn but always classic way by chef Erik Willekens. The fixed menu is extended monthly with seasonal suggestions, often with a nod to world cuisine, always fresh and according to market supply. The combination of cosy bustle, delicious, honest dishes and a jovial and correct service, a piece of coming home, that's what we strive for every day.
