Yiasou, and welcome to Ambrosia Taverna. Ambrosia was founded to serve you the most authentic meals from Greece, with a spirit to match. The décor and atmosphere of Ambrosia were inspired by the spirit of classical Greece, combined with popular customs and cuisine held near to our hearts today. Our menu offerings include traditional dishes found in all parts of Greece as well as some with other Mediterranean influences. The selection of ingredients, as well as the wines and other spirits, will allow you to take a trip to the Old World without the need of a passport. Each item on the menu has been carefully developed and prepared to insure the best of quality as well as authenticity. Something old is new again! The Elite Building was the site of one of the first Greek restaurants in the City of Columbia. In 1932, the Elite and Elite Epicurean opened its doors and became a destination for those seeking great food in a great atmosphere. The Elite Epicurean specialized in Authentic Greek Dishes that could be found nowhere else in the State. The Elite Epicurean closed its doors in 1997 and the building became the home of several different businesses over the subsequent quarter of a century. The building at 1734 Main Street is now the home of Ambrosia, and we hope that the Elite Building will once again become a destination for those seeking great food in a great atmosphere. Again, we welcome you to Ambrosia, an Elite Taverna, and we look forward to serving you and making your experience the best it can possibly be. Stin Iyia Mas! (Cheers!)
