All Steak•Downtown Cullman
American•$$$
Considered the cornerstone of the Cullman community, All Steak restaurant is described by Birmingham News as the place where half of Cullman comes to talk about politics and football. Its origin dates back to 1934 when it was founded in Tennessee by Millard Buchhmann. The original name was planned as All Steak Hamburgers, but when the sign was made, Millard did not have the money to add the word "Hamburgers." In 1938, All Steak moved to Cullman. Over the last 80 years, the restaurant has changed owners and locations a few times, including a period at the top of the Cullman Savings Bank. Our restaurant found its permanent home after the 2011 tornado destroyed what was then the Little Bit of Everything store. When the store decided not to reopen, the building was rebuilt specifically for All Steak. Salvaged bricks and pressed tin from the old building were used to preserve its history as it lives on.
