What began in 1980 as a hobby that got out of hand, still results 40 years (in 2020) later in an art-loving and gastronomic setting. Art and gastronomy are therefore a unique combination that go hand in hand in 't Hof te Puttens, a restored farmstead from the 1815s. A bit of history: after Lieve Uyttersprot and Joris De Smet acquired the farm, they spent years restoring this U-shaped former farmhouse. There was room, there was interest, there was a hobby, a son (Lieven) fulfilling his vocation as a cook and two daughters (Marijke and Leentje) lending a hand. Year after year, the art center (as well as the initial consumption hall) grew and this both in the literal and figurative sense. The restaurant also evolved towards pure refinement, thanks to Lieven's years of experience as honorary private chef of the Royal Palace of Laeken. Gastronomy
