A European-inflected bistro located in midtown Kingston, Eliza is a neighborhood restaurant from the team behind Ollie’s Pizza and Kingston Wine Co, along with the newly opened Ollie’s Slice Shop and Fletcher & Lu. Drawing on the same farm friendly, “reduce and reuse with a nod to the seasons” ethos as their provisions shop next door, Eliza features a menu from chef Chris Bradley that takes its influence from local ingredients in their prime. Intended to showcase his honest, seasonally driven approach, the restaurant’s wood burning grill is its central cooking method, using smoke to enhance the character of carefully sourced product. Highlights from the focused menu include homemade bread, charcuterie and cheeses, a raw bar, simple preparations of seasonal vegetables,a wood fired chicken, housemade pastas, fish and chips and a classic Butcher’s Blend burger. The menu is intended to equally suit a quick bite at the bar with a glass of wine, a casual weeknight out or a festive celebratory occasion.
