Santo Nigiri and Sake Bar•Silver Lake
Japanese•$$$
Santō is a vibrant sushi bar in the heart of Silver Lake. With its roots in Roma Norte, Mexico City's artistic and culinary center, guests can expect a convivial vibe and bold flavors. Much like its original location in CDMX, the focus is high quality sushi - sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls and rolls - with some unexpected twists. Where the original location is a cultural hot spot for a night on the town, Santō in Silver Lake aims to be the neighborhood’s go-to sushi counter, with great beer, wine and sake. Santō’s menu features sushi classics as well as more signature items like the torched hamachi nigiri with Oaxacan chocolate and Colima salt, ultra-luxe otoro sashimi seared with Binchōtan (a Japanese coal), and items featuring vegan tuna and salmon from Fysh (which is a tapioca based product) for a vegan spicy tuna hand roll and more. The beverage program is curated by Ricardo Nava (of Licorería Limantour in CDMX - #4 on World’s 50 Best Bars list) and leans on specialty sake, natural wines and locally crafted beer. Also, as a nod to the neighborhood, the dessert menu will feature flavors from Pazzo Gelato across the street - such as ube and matcha.
