The Consulate:  Your Passport to a Unique Dining Experience Take your taste buds on an international trip at The Consulate, a new exotic restaurant and cocktail bar that aims to surprise and inspire patrons with a unique rotating monthly menu that highlights different countries’ cultures. Inspired by the city’s rich diversity and vibrant mix of world influences, Founder, Metodija Mihajlov, designed the restaurant to take diners on a tasting tour across the globe. An acclaimed East Coast Restaurateur, Mihajlov, has worked in the industry for over eight years opening notable NYC establishments such as Olio e Piu, Dominique’s Bistro, Whynot Coffee and Boucherie.  Located on W56th street, between 5th and 5th avenue, in Midtown New York, The Consulate Midtown Dinner menu features sumptuous Short Rib Cavatelli, perfectly seared steaks, roasted herb chicken and locally sourced seafood dishes such as Roasted Branzino, perfectly prepared octopus and mussels, or just go for our addictive Crab Cake. Our executive Chef Alan Vargas originally from Masa a 3 Michelin, 4 NY Time's star restaurant curates a seasonal menu and daily specials from different regions of the world, to give our costumers a great dinning experience each time they come dine with us. Our Location in Midtown has Ground Floor with Cocktail Bar and Dine In area, and Upper Level, which is Dining only area. The Consulate Midtown enforces a strict smart casual dress code. We do not allow beachwear or gym attire including sweatpants, sweatshirts, or hoodies. Athletic apparel, jerseys, beanies, bandanas, ball caps, flip-flops, oversized or baggy clothing, tank tops, and sleeveless shirts are prohibited. No excessively revealing clothing will be allowed. Clothing emitting offensive odors is not permitted to be worn anywhere on the property.
