Royal Sushi Omakase features approximately sixteen courses, which include otsumami, nigirizushi and temaki prepared by Chef Owner Jesse Ito. Jesse trained under his father, Masaharu, at their previous restaurant Fuji. Masaharu opened Fuji in 1979 and created a Japanese establishment known throughout the area. In 2016, the Itos sold Fuji to open Royal Izakaya with bar owners Dave Frank and Stephen Simons, bringing phenomenal izakaya and sushi experiences to Philadelphia. The sushi bar lies hidden in the back of the izakaya. Find the red lantern on 2nd street, enter the blue door, and pass the noren curtains in the back to find this hidden sushi oasis.
