The restaurant's name is a nod to the U.S. Virgin Islands, Jill's childhood home. Tail Up Goat is based in the historic Adams Morgan enclave of Washington, DC. After a decade working side-by-side at some of the city's finest restaurants, owners Jon Sybert, Jill Tyler, and Bill Jensen opened their doors in February 2016. In our dining room we offer only our six course dinner menu. Please visit our website for more information and a sample menu. At our bar and on our patio we offer our six course dinner menu or an a la carte menu. Our a la carte menu is not available in our dining room, but is available at our bar or on the patio. Please visit our website for a sample menu. We can accommodate many dietary restrictions. We can always accommodate someone who is no gluten, a vegetarian, a pescetarian or a vegan. If you have compound restrictions or allergies please reach out in advance of booking your reservation so we can confirm we can accommodate you. The best way to reach us is via email hello@tailupgoat.com. Reservations may be cancelled up until 5:00pm the day prior to your reservation. Cancellations made after 5:00 PM the day prior to your reservation, day of bookings that are cancelled the same day as the reservation, and no-shows will be charged a $25/person cancellation fee.
