    Sheila Supper Club

Joui Wine presents 'Sheila Supper Club,' hosted by Chef Des.About Chef: Exploring his Filipino/Floridian roots, Chef Desmond brings a unique fusion to his dishes. From Cuban sandwiches to lumpia, each dish tells a story. Find him in St. Anne's Hill with his supper club or serving Cubans from his back alley. What to expect at 'Sheila Supper Club': “Sheila” is a tribute to my grandmother, Sheila Patricia Leary Keane. Her dedication to uniting our Irish-American family inspired me. She orchestrated Sunday suppers, a tradition I cherish and aim to continue. Supper is more than a meal—it's a time for connection and community. Enjoy “Sheila”. The bayanihan dinner: To highlight the essence of supper and Filipino communal feasting, we present our version of the bayanihan feast, where Filipinos come together, eat over banana leaves and get to know one another. We’re gonna do it a bit different, yet in a way that honors the traditions while we explore a new culinary experience! Four wines will be paired to compliment the meal.

    Autumn Equinox Wine Dinner

The summer is waning. Chilly weather and crisp leaves are all just around the corner. Let's celebrate the Autumn equinox, the full harvest moon, and the last tomatoes, melons, herbs, and colorful vegetables of the season. We are so excited to welcome Chef Adriano Gonzalez for this four course meal paired with four delicious wines. Chef Adriano grew up helping his father grow wide varieties of produce and afternoons accompanying his mother to the milpa, where she would take their corn to be ground for masa. At age 19, Adriano moved to Portland, Oregon, and took a job at a pizza restaurant. He quickly fell in love with the local, seasonal, community-oriented cuisine of the PNW. He spent the next 20 years cooking in fine dining, ascending from line cook to chef and training under James Beard award winners. He even found time to fall in love with a line cook named Liz, whom he has now been married to for 9 years. They moved to Dayton three years ago, where Adriano became the Sous Chef for Sueño. This meal is an expression of the foods he loves and a celebration of the final round of fresh produce that becomes available at the end of summer and we transition into autumn. First // watermelon gazpacho, caprese saladSecond // octopus cevicheThird // steak and veggiesFourth // bread pudding Please no substitutions.
