Leon’s is an all-day Italian restaurant with French and Egyptian accents from Natalie Johnson and Nick Anderer, the husband-and-wife duo behind Anton's in the West Village. Named for Natalie's great-grandfather, Leon Hakim, the restaurant is inspired by her family's heritage and the couple's travels together across the Mediterranean. In the spirit of Anton's, Leon's is a convivial gathering place open from early morning until late in the evening. The culinary menu spotlights Anderer's deep passion for Italian cuisine, as well as his thoughtful interpretations of treasured Hakim family recipes and culinary traditions passed down by way of Egypt and France. The restaurant's beverage program highlights winemakers, brewers, and distillers the team admires, as well as non-alcoholic refreshments drawing inspiration from the cool teas and sweet drinks enjoyed at the cafes and outdoor markets in Cairo and Alexandria. A full espresso program is also available (beans from local NYC roaster Variety Coffee).
