    Introduction to the Jeweler’s Bench with Silversmiths Jack & Janette Burton

    Join this hands-on class and learn how to make a pair of silver earrings from scratch using only hand tools. All the materials you need are included, and you’ll take home your very own creation. After class, enjoy a wine tasting along with a cheese and charcuterie plate.$200 per person includes all materials, the earrings you made in class, wine tasting, and cheese & charcuterie plate. Class size limited to 6 students ensures personalized attention. No previous experience necessary. Supplies include: • Teaching materials and handouts with list of sources and supplies.• A class workbook and design journal • Sterling Silver wire, disks, and beads• All necessary tools with practice materials, and polishing goods Event Timeline:10am Class Part One -- Jack’s lecture and demonstration on silversmithing history, cold-forging, design, layout, stamping, chasing, planishing, engraving and polishing. Students will have the opportunity to cold-forge a pair of Sterling Silver Mountain Rose disks with the tabletop tool kit. (2 ½ hours)12:30 Short Break 12:45 Class Part Two -- Hands-on teaching of wire forming. Each student will create a pair of Sterling Silver ear wires to suspend their pendants creating their own earrings to take home.     DeLoach Taste of the Estate & Garden Tour

    Experience a taste of our Estate wines while your host guides you on a walking tour through the vineyard where the grapes are grown! You’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of our Theatre of Nature, Sycamore Grove, and Estate Patio and Garden while sampling the wine from our beautiful terroir, all grown in our Organic and Demeter-certified Biodynamic Estate Vineyard. This experience requires advance reservations and is available on Saturdays and Sundays.     Sample featured wines from our Boisset family of wineries in France alongside their counterparts from DeLoach Vineyards. Taste the difference that varying climates and soil types make in these celebrated varietals as we showcase our Franco-American heritage. You will participate in a demonstration that brings to life the interaction between food and wine, and enjoy a serving of Marin French Cheese Petite Crème and Rustic Bakery sea salt and olive oil crackers.     Join us for a special Sip and Paint afternoon at DeLoach Vineyards with Painted Cellars Sonoma County! A friendly instructor will guide you in creating your very own vineyard masterpiece to take home! First-time painters are welcome -- we will guide you step-by-step. So hold on to your paintbrush, let go of your worries! All art supplies are included with your ticket. $55 per person, includes glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Members receive $10 discount.     Bring your own lunch to pair with our DeLoach wines and enjoy the beauty of our Earth & Sky garden. Reservation fee of $50 per table includes the table reservation only for up to 12 guests, including your well-behaved children (include them in the guest count). Wine will be available for purchase, and your reservation fee will be refunded with the purchase of 3 bottles of wine.
