Château des Charmes was founded in 1978 by Paul Bosc, a fifth-generation French winegrower. Paul and his young family arrived in Niagara in the 1960’s with the idea that growing our own grapes was the best way to make fine wine. More than ever, we believe in this Estate Winery model and we make our wine only from grapes we’ve grown ourselves.

    Wine Country Romance

    When you arrive at the Château, you will be greeted by your personal guide and will then enjoy a vineyard-side chat (weather permitting) to learn about wine growing, Bosc family style. Then sit back and relax in our Tasting area for an educational tasting of four of our premium VQA wines, including our Brut sparkling to start. Alongside your tasting flight you will be served an artisan plate of Canadian cheeses that have been carefully selected to perfectly pair with our wines.     True To Our Roots Winery Tour FRENCH

    Apprenez ce que signifie la culture du vin «Style Familiare Bosc» grâce à une visite exclusive de notre usine de vinification. Vous commencerez avec une dégustation de mousseux, puis vous passerez à l'extérieur dans notre vignoble St. David’s Bench sur les marches de l'escarpement du Niagara. Ensuite, nous vous dirigerons vers notre salle de récolte et nos caves souterraines (Attention: les clients monteront et descendront un escalier).     True To Our Roots Winery Tour

    Learn what it means to grow wine “Bosc Family Style” through an exclusive tour of our wine-making facility. You will start with a sample of Sparkling, then taken outside to our St. David’s Bench Vineyard on the steps of the Niagara Escarpment. Next, it’s on to our Harvest Room and underground cellars (note: guests will be walking up and down a flight of stairs). Of course, the tour would not be complete without sampling the finished product! One of our Wine Associates will take you through a guided tasting of four of our VQA wines.
