It is a clandestine restaurant, opened in February 2002 by Javier de las Muelas, housed in the Dry Martini warehouse and with its own entrance on Córcega Street, which pays tribute to the clandestine establishments of the Prohibition era and to which Javier defines it as its “idea factory”. This emblematic space in the city became the first place to establish a new concept, that of a clandestine restaurant with the use of a password to access its interior. Over time Speakeasy has become the true supporter of this trend that has been copied by many others. An interior premises used as an old warehouse to recreate a gastronomic space similar to the clandestine establishments that during Prohibition popularized American society in Chicago and New York in the 1920s. The warehouse maintains that atmosphere that plays with anonymity and the luxury of the hidden. A reserved, intimate and pleasant place, which flirts with clandestinity.
