GAIL was founded in 2013 by Dan O’Brien. A native of Rhode Island, Dan is a former sommelier who worked his way through the hospitality industry from Providence to Boston. A career that took him west to manage winery estates in Napa and Sonoma. With the support of his wife Alison and their reluctant vineyard dog Alma, Dan makes wine in memory of his mother. Everything is grown and produced in the Sonoma Valley, a place she would have considered paradise.
