Legendary Japanese sushi chef, Eiji Ichimura, makes his final return to the NYC dining scene alongside Kuma Hospitality Group via his restaurant Sushi Ichimura in Tribeca. Chef Ichimura serves his signature edomae-style omakase at the restaurant’s intimate 10-seat sushi counter, presenting the freshest fish and ingredients sourced directly from Japan and perfectly aged to showcase each courses’ peak flavor. The approximately 20-course menu will consist of seasonal appetizers followed by over 12 courses of delicately aged nigiri sushi and temaki, finished with seasonal desserts served with tea – all thoughtfully served on rare antique Japanese lacquerware, over 200 year-old ceramic plates and plateware handmade by Shiro Tsujimura, one of Japan’s most prominent contemporary ceramic artists and a living national treasure. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of sake, wine, beer, Japanese whiskies and exclusive chilled Japanese tea with the experience; or a special pairing featuring sparkling sake, white Burgundy and a rotating selection of dynamic, adventurous sakes from various Japanese prefectures.
