    Once! Chilean High Tea By Chef Cote Tapia-Marmugi

    Follow Chef Cote on a journey back to her parents’ house in Chile for Once! Dinner is traditionally early in Chile, sometimes around 2pm or 3pm, meaning when evening rolls around, you’re hungry and ready for some Once! Chilean folklore teaches that back in the day, Once was code for ‘let’s go have some aguardiente’ — a strong alcoholic beverage along the lines of grappa — as the word aguardiente has 11 letters. Whatever the origin of Once, please join us to enjoy a wonderful spread of Chilean sweet and savory treats by Chef Cote. The menu will be served family style in 2 courses plus an intermezzo with an abundance of dishes coming out to the table for you to enjoy— first savory, then sweet! Malaysian Kopitiam style tea and coffee will also be available at an additional charge.This event is taking place downstairs in an intimate setting where you can watch Chef Cote cook! Tickets are $75 (does not include beverages, taxes, or gratuity) and a $25 deposit will be taken to hold your reservationOnce is a vegetarian friendly experience! However, we can not accommodate any dietary substitutions. Where you watch Chef Reuben cook your entire meal in the wood fire oven.The family-style service is a tribute to the grand meals of his childhood—times of togetherness and celebration, which have inspired him to recreate that sense of community at the dining table.
