A new restaurant concept by Chef Peter Chang coming to the Dupont Circle neighborhood of downtown Washington D.C this Oct. Chang Chang is a nod to the fact that there are two Changs behind the restaurant, with Peter and Lydia collaborating on all aspects of the project. The full service side of Chang Chang, will be something new and unique, offering a new take on seasonal modern Chinese cooking.

    Wonky China Sunday Brunch with Jeffrey Wasserstrom

    You’re invited to a special Wonky China at Chang Chang -- join us for a delicious dim sum brunch reception & discussion with Jeffrey Wasserstrom. Jeffrey Wasserstrom is Chancellor's Professor at UC Irvine where he also holds courtesy appointments in Law, Literary Journalism, and Political Science. He has written, co-written, edited, or co-edited more than a dozen books, including Chinese Characters: Fast-Changing Lives in a Fast-Changing Land (2012); Vigil: Hong Kong on the Brink (2020); and The Oxford History of Modern China (2022). We will be discussing 'Reading Nineteen Eighty-Four in Beijing,' a chapter in Wasserstrom's forthcoming book about George Orwell and Asia.Dim sum will be served buffet style at this standing reception with some seating. Price is $38 per person, plus fees, 20% gratuity, and taxes. Complimentary tea is included. Brunch cocktails and other drinks are available for an additional charge.

    Join us to celebrate our Second Anniversary on October 27th, 6-8:30pm. Peter will be serving some of his latest off-the-menu creations and explaining the secrets behind his James-Beard award-winning Peking Duck.Price is $88 per person, plus 20% gratuity and taxes. The experience will include family style appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We look forward to celebrating the holiday with you.Seating will be at communal banquet tables of eight to ten people. You may choose your wine when you order the rest of your meal.Our Champagne aside, we would also highly recommend one of our juicy red wines to pair with the rich, savory flavor our Peter’s Duck … We have a beautiful Bordeaux from Chateau Larenac, and Chaume-Arnaud Cotes du Rhone. This deal is available until the end of October. We have a limited number of ducks per day, and a reservation is highly recommended.
