    5th Annual Whisk(e)y Festival “Premier Drams” Showcasing the “Cask-Strength, New & Rare”

    Our biggest tasting event of the year is here! The anticipated festival (which sells out in just weeks every year) has recently grown to take over two entire buildings – its home of Jack Rose Dining Saloon, plus nearby The Imperial on the same block. Enjoy 25+ curated stations of unique, cask-strength bourbons, ryes, scotches, and international whiskeys, plus blind tastings, craft cocktails, distiller meet-and-greets and more from 12 pm to 4 pm. *Plus* this year, enjoy two days of Premier Drams fun. We're kicking off the weekend on Saturday with a tasting mixer featuring the best of Jack Rose Single Barrels (book on Saturday link) before the big day on Sunday.- Sunday Details -The 5th Annual “Premier Drams” takes place on Sunday, October 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. between both buildings of Jack Rose Dining Saloon (2007 18th St. NW) and The Imperial (2001 18th St. NW).“Not your typical whisk(e)y festival,” a ticket to this day-long tasting includes:unlimited tastings of unique bourbons, ryes, scotches and international whiskeys, entry into our annual blind tasting contest, craft cocktails, distiller meet-and-greets, passed hors d'oeuvres, and more!New this year, Jack Rose owner Bill Thomas will host his own Premier Drams table, pouring his hand-selected single barrel expressions from the eponymous just-launched label.     Kilchoman Batch Strength US Tour 2024

    Join us for the DC tour stop of the official launch of Kilchoman Batch Strength in the US!The Batch Strength release was added to the core range earlier this year. Matured in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, a few drops of water were added post maturation to produce a Batch Strength of 57% vol. The result is a colossal dram combining the natural peat smoke and citrus character of Kilchoman with dark fruits, rich spices and salted caramel sweetness.Come along and sample the latest core range release, meet James Wills of the Wills Family (founders of Kilchoman), hear some behind-the-scenes stories from the distillery and of course, enjoy fantastic new whisky!
