OSAKANA is a Japanese-style fish market and education center, focused onbringing locally caught, wild seafood to our community. We aim to connectdiners with the great variety of species available in the AtlanticOcean..     Hands On Sushi Class I (Introduction)

    Join our chefs for an immersive hands-on introduction to the art of sushi crafting. Explore lesser-known sushi variants like temari-zushi, oshi-zushi, and temaki-zushi using seasonal ingredients and premium raw fish. Gain practical skills in selecting and handling raw fish safely, so you can make your own sushi at home.The 1.5-hour semi-private session includes dinner and accommodates up to six (6) students, ensuring an intimate culinary learning experience.Classes are held at the East Village location:42 1/2 St Marks Pl, 42 1/2 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10003, USABYOB

    Uni Shucking Class - East Village -

    Uni (Sea Urchin) is coming back in season from Portland, ME. You are going to have a mountain of live Uni in the shells and you will learn how to shuck and clean your own Uni. Of course, you will eat it all as temaki sushi roll. You will earn one of the most useful skills of your life from this class.
