    Chef Donald Young of Duck Sel teams up with Chef Nikolaos Kapernaros for an exciting collaborative 10 course tasting menu dinner benefitting Chicago Chefs Cook who unite and empower Chicagoland chefs to raise money for humanitarian causes, both local and global, that are on the hearts and minds of the city’s culinary and hospitality communities. All ticket proceeds will go towards Chicago Chefs Cook.The ticketed event will take place at a secret location in the Uptown neighborhood, which will be revealed 24 – 48 hours in advance.About Chef Nikolaos Kapernaros:Born and raised in Piraeus Greece, Chef Nikolaos brings 25 years of global experience at five-star resorts & restaurants working with Michelin star chefs like Jerome Serres, Edgar Bovier, Reto Lampart, Yiannis Baxevanis, and Denio Bruci during his time at Grand Resort Lagonissi.Nikolaos was also an instructor at the Culinary Institute of Greece, Athens. He moved to Chicago 6 years ago & joined the brigade at the Hyatt Regency of Chicago. In 2018 he was named among the 11 best Hyatt Chefs in the U.S. He later led the Avli on the Park Culinary team to becoming a Michelin Guide honoree restaurant in 2023.To Chef Nikolaos, cooking is art. His thoughtful menus include time-honored family recipes, and dishes that reflect the diverse regions of Greece prepared with authentic Greek products like extra virgin olive oil from his family’s olive grove. Currently he is the Executive Chef for Pierless Hospitality at Navy Pier Chicago, a scenic waterfront destination and one of the city’s most historic venues. Chef Nikolaos recently launched Chef Kapernaros Culinary.
