    Song in Residence: Tea Bar @ Fellow

    A condensed version of our Quiet Mornings tea tastings, Song’s Tea Bar offers tasting from a short menu of select teas at the Fellow retail store on Abbot-Kinney Blvd. in Venice, CA.Join Peter as he brews from a short list of Song Teas, chosen for the season. We will be offering two 50 minute Tea Bar seatings at Fellow. Each pre-paid seating includes up to two teas. Limit 4 guests per session.     Quiet Mornings @ Song, Si Fang Cha

    Mornings in the Song Tea studio are a quiet time. The fog that covers our coastal city makes the days start slowly, wrapping around us in a wooly blanket of grey. We lean into these qualities here in the studio, gradually bringing up the lights, setting a kettle to boil, running a finger across the canisters of tea in search of the perfect accompaniment to our mood…Quiet Mornings at Song offers us the opportunity to share this liminal space with you, and to commune over pots of freshly brewed tea. Join Song’s founder, Peter Luong in an intimate group setting here in the studio. Each session is limited to six participants.Each month we'll vary the theme of the teas we brew together so that each time you join us, there will be something new to discover. September 2024's theme and dates are below. We hope you are able to join us.*****This month, Peter will be brewing a from a selection of Song's Si Fang Cha teas, including a yet-to-be released Buddha's Hand Winter Sprout that tastes like yellow watermelon and orange blossom water!Our Si Fang Cha collection is inspired by the intimate supper clubs of the Song Dynasty, featuring a small-batch teas for special occasions. We pull these down to mark special occasions - birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, the reunion of old friends... In addition to their exquisite flavor and layered character, they help us mark the passage of time, memories tied to tea brewing sessions that celebrate the extraordinary - and quotidian! - events of our daily lives. Sometimes, brewing a slow cup of tea is occasion enough to celebrate.*****A note: as Covid numbers climb in the Bay Area, your health - and ours! - is very important to us. In this light, we are relaxing our cancellation policy for the upcoming Quiet Mornings sessions.     Song in Residence: Quiet Mornings @ Fellow

    Join us in Fellow’s Venice, CA showroom for an intimate morning tea-tasting session led by Peter Luong, Song’s tea sourcer and founder. Quiet Mornings takes guests through a selection of our favorite teas, delving into the histories of each, our ideologies around cultivation and curation, and promises to draw forth the most exquisite notes from each successive leaf.Each tasting session at Fellow seats 6, begins at 9am, and will last approximately 2 hours.
